Bohemia Interactive has announced that their military-simulation title Arma 3 has gone into Beta today. The Beta comes with more features, more stability, and a price increase to $44.99.

Bohemia Interactive has put out a press release regarding the Arma 3 Beta, in which Creative Director Jay Crowe says:

The beta is a big opportunity for us to involve more players in Arma 3′s development and is the next step along the road towards our full release. With a variety of new singleplayer and multiplayer scenarios and a whole bunch of new sandbox content, we’re looking forward to introducing players to what true combined arms combat really means in Arma 3.

The Beta will improve upon heavy firepower and military logistics along with the content seen in the Alpha. All-in-all the player will have access to the 20km2 island of Stratis, 20 weapons, 18 vehicles, 3 factions, 8 showcase missions, 4 multiplayer scenarios, 4 challenges, the scenario editor and modding support.

If you’re like me you are probably kicking yourself in the ass for passing up the reduced price on the Alpha version of the game. Now that the price has gone up another ten dollars or so I am adamant about purchasing, as much as I love the Arma series.

Those who do not feel this way can grab a copy off Steam for $44.99.
