The past few days rumors of the next Assassin’s Creed title, Black Flag, have been flying around the web. Up until now nothing had been officially confirmed, today Ubisoft gave fans that confirmation.
Ubisoft made the official confirmation for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and went on to add that the PlayStation 3 version of the game will receive exclusive content. This exclusive content will include around 60 minutes of gameplay, Ubisoft has not detailed this content yet.
Ubisoft had the same type of setup with Sony last year on Assassin’s Creed 3, giving PS3 users four exclusive missions based around Benedict Arnold and his plot to overthrow West Point.
Ubisoft gave fans a little something extra today as well, they took the confirmation a step further and released the official box art for Black Flag. The cover looks pretty impressive, with the rumored protagonist Edward Kenway taking the forefront. In the background a black flag with the Assassin’s logo and a skull can be seen flying from presumably a pirate ship.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC at a date to be announced later on.
