Batman: Arkham Origins Release Date Announced

Game Informer revealed today the next game in the Batman Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Origins will be released October 25th. The third game will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be a prequel story to the two previous titles, featuring a “young unrefined” Batman. Players will get a look at Batman’s first encounter with more than few villains, including Deathstroke. Other villains have not been announced yet, but fans of the comics and Batman in general may be able to guess a few.

If that wasn’t enough for fans, a Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita game is also in the works – Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. The handheld title will be released on the same day as the console and PC game. Blackgate will be a Metroid-style game with a “completely separate experience” taking place after the events seen in Arkham Origins.
