EA has stated that they will be revealing more about Battlefield 3 “in about 90 days” time. EA teased a potential next-gen reveal for the new first-person shooter title.
EA Labels President Frank Gibeau:
We’ve already talked a little bit about that we have a Battlefield title coming next year, but we’re not in a position right now to talk about our development plans and our SKU plan long term.
That will come in about 90 days when we get to show you some Battlefield stuff.
According to his comments we should be seeing a Battlefield 4 reveal by the end of April.
Frank Gibeau later stated:
We think Battlefield and FIFA are going to help us lead as we move into the next set of technology opportunities and platform opportunities, and continue to get bigger.
This hints at a next-generation release, which we all know is coming soon enough.
Battlefield 4 is set to release between April 2013 and March 2014. Quite a time frame to watch, let’s hope the next game in the long running series is worth it.
