Battlefield 4 Survey Wants Your Opinion
Electronic Arts is passing around a mysterious survey for Battlefield 4, looking for fans opinions on new content for the fourth entry in the series. EA did state the survey is nothing set in stone at the moment, only brainstorming.
This survey was originally thought to be just a rumor, but an EA employee recently confirmed it is official. Though many people have not seen the actual survey, it is thought to be sent out randomly through email.
Some of the ideas ranging on the survey include dynamic maps, naval warfare, a dino-survival mode, new weapons and classes, and more. One that is exciting to me personally is the idea of cutting power to certain buildings to shroud it in darkness. But again this is all just speculation, nothing is definitely being worked on in Battlefield 4.
Parts of the survey read:
Battlefield 4 extends the front past the shoreline with the addition of intense and dramatic water-based combat. Pilot attack boats, RHIBs [rigid-hulled inflatable boats], and jet skis on swelling seas and stormy oceans.
Experience a more dynamic battlefield where no two games will ever be the same. Blow the foundations of a dam and flood the area of combat. Bump into a vehicle and its alarm will give away your position. Cut the power to a building and envelop the enemy in a cloak of darkness. Your actions physically change the battlefield in real time, providing interactive game environments that react to your every move.
If any of these ideas made it into the game it could make things a lot more exciting. Although some ideas, dino-survival, could take the game away from its roots and lose a lot of fans.
Battlefield 4 will be released this Fall 2013 on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
