Battlefield: Hardline Beta Coming To PlayStation 4

Reports of a Battlefield: Hardline beta have been circulating, and that those who visit the Sony “PlayStation E3 Experience,” a North American presentation of Sony’s E3 media briefing, will receive an access code for the upcoming beta. The title, in development by Visceral Games, looks to take the Battlefield formula in a new direction, we’re pretty excited about it.

An email, sent out far too early, reads:

Thank you for attending the PlayStation E3 Experience.

Be one of the first to live out your fantasy as a cop or criminal where you’ll hunt and raid vaults in two new game modes on the High Tension map. Here is your PS4 Access Code to download the Beta.

No access code was actually included within the email, however. The code, along with the email, will most likely be resent at a later date to give people access to Battlefield: Hardline.

A Reddit user recently posted that retailer GameStop is awarding a “special bonus” to the first 40 people who pre-ordered the game at the story. The clerk did not go into any details, according to the poster, however.

Thanks to the folks at IGN, we now know the Battlefield: Hardline beta is indeed real and will launch on the PlayStation 4, according to “a source” they are not willing to name.

E3 is coming next week so we will most likely hear more on the game and its beta there.
