Blizzard Considering Diablo III PS4 Remote Play
At the recent Blizzcon, developer Blizzard discussed the Remote Play feature coming to the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. More specifically they discussed its use in Diablo III. According to Blizzard the feature is not currently being planned for the game.
This is definitely a shame as the Remote Play feature would be brilliant in a game such as Diablo III. Many gamers would get use out of it. If Blizzard could make it possible I don’t see why they wouldn’t go for it.
Diablo III Console Senior Producer Julie Humphreys said Blizzard hasn’t ruled out the feature completely. Humphreys said:
One of the really cool features that comes built-in with the PS4 is this concept of remote play, so you can stream the gameplay that is happening on the PS4 over to your Vita screen. That is something we are looking into.
I would say we are in the earliest stages of looking at that. We want to make sure that it is readable and is a good user experience.
The PlayStation 4 version of Diablo III will include all the features of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the action-RPG. The PS4 version will include the Reaper of Souls expansion, however.
Diablo III will be released for PS4 sometime in 2014, an Xbox One version has not been revealed as of yet.
