Borderlands 2 Will Not Receive A Second Season Pass

Borderlands 2 players who opted for the Season Pass of the game were promised four DLC packs, and they were delivered. Now Gearbox Software has announced they will continue putting out content for the game. Bad news is a second Season Pass will not be released.

A Gearbox representative confirmed this news, saying:

Through the course of our grand experiment, we’ve also learned that fans are happy with an a la cart menu for DLC because they can pick and choose the content that they most want to buy and really customize their Borderlands 2 experience.

Gearbox has released plenty of DLC for Borderlands 2 that wasn’t promised on the Season Pass. Now this trend can continue, giving fans more game for their money.

Another Ultimate Vault Hunter pack will be released soon. This will increase the level cap from 61 to 72 for all classes. Gearbox has stated more DLC will be released before the end of the unique; these will feature  unique boss battles, special content such as head and skin sets, and a special loot drop.

Borderlands 2 is available for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
