DICE Not Proud Of Battlefield 4 Launch
Battlefield 4 launched to more than a few issues and is even still plagued by some, especially in the multiplayer component of the game. This is pretty normal for a game the size of Battlefield, the entire series has had launch issues, the latest entry seeing more than usual on PC and PlayStation 4.
Developer DICE has announced they are committed to fixing any issues that have arisen since launch, as a way to say thank you for sticking through these they are holding an appreciated week for all players across all systems.
Karl Magnus Troedsson, General Manager at DICE, said:
I am extremely proud of the people at DICE and everyone across EA that contributed to the development of Battlefield 4. However, I am less proud to see that the game has experienced some turbulence during the launch period. While some platforms have had only minor problems, others have had more than their fair share of issues. Resolving the launch issues is our #1 priority.
Troedsson has said the team is working its best to stabilize the game, pledging that they “will not move on to other projects until we are sure that Battlefield 4 meets — and exceeds — your expectations.”
DICE will offer double XP in every multiplayer match from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5 for those who lost all their progress in the single player mode. On Dec. 5, DICE will give all players in the multiplayer game a M1911 pistol scope, which was previously only for DICE developers.
