Duke Nukem Game Teased For PlayStation & PC

Developer Interceptor Entertainment is teasing a brand new Duke Nukem game, supposedly coming to the PC and PlayStation consoles. Fans have deciphered the text on the teaser website revealing Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction.

Interceptor Entertainment had asked for 10,000 Facebook likes in order for them to translate a chunk of the teaser text, but fans did not want to wait. It reads:

The king makes his next generation debut in Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction. A top-down action role-playing game for PC and PlayStation.

The new teaser site, AllOutOfGum.com, currently displays a countdown clock leading to February 25th, when the game will be officially unveiled. The site has artwork for Kick-Ass Gum; a reference to Duke Nukem 3D.

The once-hidden text also suggest the game will not be a first-person shooter, like all other titles in the series. It continues:

Duke Nukem kicks ass across planets in an Unreal Engine-powered galactic adventure to save the President from an apocalyptic alien threat. All-new enemies, a never before seen arsenal of devastating weaponry, and series-first mechanics; including experience points and tech trees, will let Duke rip ‘em a new one in a way he never has before.

Interceptor Entertainment has experience with the Duke Nukem series, they’ve previously ported the two side-scrolling titles to iOS. It was reported last year that the studio was working on Duke Nukem with creator Scott Miller. Turns out that report was correct.
