Developer Codemasters have announced today that their upcoming racing title, GRID 2, will see its release on May 28th in North America and May 31st in Europe.
Along with the announcement of a release date, Codemasters also revealed some pre-order bonuses for various retail stores in North America. For those interested in purchasing through GameStop, they will receive the GRID 2: Turbo-Charged Edition which will come with two DLC packs; the McLaren Racing Pack and the GTR Racing Pack.
The McLaren Racing Pack will give players the opportunity to drive the MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition in GRID 2, plus a special online event and two new tracks at the Brands Hatch GP Circuit.
The GTR Racing Pack brings in a Nissan GT-R SpecV racing vehicle plus daytime versions of the Yas Marina circuit tracks.
Best Buy will have their own pre-order bonuses, the IndyCar Edition, which comes with the Dallara IndyCar and the IndyCar Pace car as well as two new tracks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Oval Circuit.
Amazon will give players the Head Start Pack, which gives players a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT and discounts for car upgrade store in-game. Amazon will also be offering a bonus on Codemasters’ social platform RaceNet.
And finally UK retailer GAME will receive the Brands Hatch Edition, which will include the McLaren Racing Pack and the Head Start Pack in one.
GRID 2 will by available to play on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
