Halo 2 PC Multiplayer Continues

Last month Microsoft made the announcement that the Halo 2 PC Multiplayer support would be closing down on February 15th. This is not happening anymore, 343 Industries designer David Ellis announced on his official Twitter that support for Halo 2 will extend for at least another four months.

David Ellis:

“Halo 2 PC support extended through June 2013 while we investigate further support options.

Now go get those achievements.

Microsoft has been keeping an eye on the game’s multiplayer population and have found that the highest amount of players at once has only reached 20. Microsoft did not reveal if these numbers are still accurate.

Hopefully the Halo 2 PC multiplayer has grown a bit, otherwise only 20 people in the world will be happy at this news.

Halo 2 PC was released in May 2007, two and a half years after the Xbox original. The porting was handled by Microsoft team Hired Gun, who have been dissolved since then.

About Brandon

My name is Brandon, or iNomaD, either one. I love writing as much as I do gaming, which is a lot. I am not picky, I'll play any genre on any system, except Facebook games. You can check out my Youtube and Twitter for new gameplay and updates on the gaming world. Obsessed with BioShock and zombies. And probably a lot of other things too.
