Injustice Adds Doomsday to Roster

NetherRealm Studios announced today that Doomsday, the Superman-slaughtering comic book villain, will be a playable fighter in the upcoming game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Doomsday is a villain from the Superman comics and one of the few enemies to have succeeded in murdering the Kryptonian hero.

Originally only shown in the background of the superhero’s Fortress of Solitude stage, Doomsday was not confirmed as a playable character until a glitch on the GameStop website accidentally leaked the information. Afterwards, Netherrealm Studios released a promotional video and character picture, accepting the fact that people already knew and using the situation to their advantage as free publicity.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released on April 16th in North America, 17th in Australia, and the 19th in the European Union.
