Killzone: Shadow Fall Ships With 10 Multiplayer Maps, 6 Free DLC Maps
Guerrilla Games is preparing for the upcoming next-gen release of the PlayStation 4 and their exclusive launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall. The first-person shooter will launch with 10 multiplayer maps and will have 6 free DLC maps available.
This is the first time Guerrilla Games has spoken up regarding the multiplayer arenas that players will find themselves in. They described the maps as “competitive multiplayer dlc maps,” all 6 of which will be free for players to download and enjoy at launch.
It has been some time since FPS gamers have seen free maps in their games. Most of the time we have to pay for a DLC pack that costs an arm and a leg to receive even half of this number.
During the Eurogamer Expo, Guerrilla Games stated that they don’t “want to splinter off our audience into different groups.” This is a brilliant tactic and one that should be applauded. Hopefully this philosophy stays true after the release of Shadow Fall.
Killzone: Shadow Fall will be released alongside the PlayStation 4 on November 15th.
