In order for a port on any system to stand out, it needs to have a reason to, some kind of new feature, better graphics, or a new control scheme. EA is looking to have a reason with Need for Speed: Most Wanted for the Wii U.
Electronic Arts released a press release in Japan today revealing that Criterion, the developer behind Need for Speed: Most Wanted, will be including just such an amazing feature to make the port stand apart.
Off-screen play, is the perfect feature for those with relatives, or friends who like to take over their television. With this feature gamers will be able to play Most Wanted on either their television screens or using the Wii U GamePad’s touchscreen, or both if the option is available.
This is an amazing feature to be included, and one that will definitely set the game apart from the world of terrible ports. Anyone who has to share a television at home will understand the benefit of such a feature, and will most likely put it to good use.
Keep an eye out for the release of Need for Speed: Most Wanted in Japan on March 14. As of now EA has not released a North American or European release date, so we will have to wait for that one to be revealed.
