PS4: Official Wireless Headset Revealed

by

Sony has confirmed a PS4 firmware update version 1.60 will be released tomorrow, February 4th. This update prepares the next-gen console for the official wireless headset, Pulse 2.0.

Images of the official wireless headset were revealed on the PS Blog EU, and Sony has confirmed the firmware update will prepare for the headset. They’ve also confirmed the update will work with the GTA V-branded Pulse Headset.

The PS3 Pulse 2.0 headset will retail for £79.99/€89.99. The wireless headset can run for eight hours on a single battery charge. The Pulse 2.0 will deliver 7.1 virtual surround sound and is compatible with the PS Vita as well. A bundled 3.5mm stereo mini jack will be included to allow use with the handheld.

PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 gamers will also receive a free Headset Companion App, which allows users greater control over their headset’s sound settings.

Are you excited to finally receive an official wireless headset for the PlayStation 4? I know I am, the one included is terrible and the one I bought after launch could be better.
