Rayman Legends Gains 30 New Levels Through Delay

It looks as if the delay for Rayman Legends was not a bad thing after all. Developer Ubisoft Montpellier was able to introduce a lot of new content to the game in the time they received. This new content includes 30 brand new levels for gamers to jump and fight their way through.

Michael Micholic, Senior game manager, told Official Nintendo Magazine:

The things we are adding aren’t minor. We’re not talking about adding some polish here and there, but 30 new levels and several new bosses.

Originally Rayman Legends was to be released in February of 2013, but the developer subsequently pushed the game back to September. This decision was made to create time to work on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.

This delay was met with a lot of angry fans. Some even went so far as to protest Ubisoft Montepellier. Turns out an ex-Ubisoft employee wasn’t happy with the situation either and took to the internet to vent his frustration.

He said:

You’ll have to wait for some months for the game to be released and will most likely serve for more content to be added and do it better. For us, this means we’ve spent 6 months barely seeing our wives, kids, and friends for nothing because, after all, such a haste wasn’t needed. Believe it, it was a hell to swallow these news.

These 30 new levels will hopefully ease some of the tension between the fan base and Ubisoft Montpellier. Everyone loves having longer games these days anyway.

Rayman Legends will be released September 2013 for Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
