For those fans who actually liked Resident Evil 6, or for those who have been waiting for a chance to play the newest game in the series on their Wii U’s, you may be waiting forever. CapCom has revealed that they have no intentions of porting Resident Evil 6 to the Wii U.
Capcom’s Christian Svensson had this to say on the company’s forums:
With regard to WiiU, in general we’re looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table.
This statement rules out more than just Resident Evil 6, but also DmC: Devil May Cry and Street Fighter X Tekken, along with any other older CapCom games. This leaves gamers looking to the future for any new CapCom titles on their Wii U’s. Hopefully they have some great ideas for the new system, we could all use with some more Capcom in our lives.
