Splinter Cell: Blacklist Wii U Edition Confirmed

Nintendo confirmed the existence of Splinter Cell: Blacklist for the Wii U today. The title will be released on August 20th in North America and August 23rd in the United Kingdom. The same day as all other systems, no delays for the Wii U this time around.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist will make heavy use of the GamePad for “enhanced gameplay features”. If a screenshot released today is anything to go by, the GamePad will be used to control the snake camera as you slide it under doors. That is a pretty awesome feature already, the player will see what the camera sees on their GamePad.

Neither Nintendo nor Ubisoft spoke of any other features the GamePad could be used for yet. You can bet it will be cool though and make you feel like a real spy. The developers also did not state if the Wii U version would receive any new content or content cuts.

Pick up Splinter Cell: Blacklist this August for Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
