Thief Content Will Be Consistent Across All Systems
We got a look at a brand new story trailer at VGX for the upcoming stealth-action game Thief over the weekend. We also learned that the gameplay experience will remain consistent across both PC and next-gen consoles, according to Art Technical Director Jean-Normand Bucci.
While speaking to DSOGaming, Bucci discussed the differences between the game on current and next-gen consoles, he explained the features of new consoles “will be exploited to its full extent.” However, PC users shouldn’t expect a different experience to how the console version will play. He said:
The PC and next-gen versions of the game will be the most impressive when it comes to visuals, although the team are working hard to ensure that the content and gameplay are the same across bot platforms.
Bucci confirmed the PC version will support the same set of graphical features as next-gen consoles with improvements. Higher resolution shadows and multi-monitor support will set the PC edition apart.
Thief will be released on February 25th, 2014 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Thief will also receive a companion app, allowing users to explore the characters and game world a bit before the release of the game.
