Trine 2: Director’s Cut May Get Physical Version

Recently developer Frozenbyte was asked on one of their Trine 2 trailers on Youtube whether they would be releasing a physical copy of Trine 2: Director’s Cut. The developer replied that it could be a possibility, but one we may not see for some time.

Q: Will you be releasing a hardcover version of this game? Because the Wii U’s ridiculous system locking means if anything happened to the console, the game would be lost forever.

A: It’s a possibility… we’d need a partner for it though, so even if we decide to go for it, it will in any case take a lot of time to arrange, so it’s hard to say when it could happen… we’ll see!

As of right now Trine 2: Director’s Cut is only available as a download on the Wii U eShop. The price for the title is currently $19.99 for North American gamers.

Here is to hoping they can find a partner and release Trine 2 in a boxed version. It would be great to be able to look at the case for this amazing game.
